A church is celebrating the English way of life at a special St George's night next month.
The event takes place at St Symphorian's Church hall, Durrington, Worthing, on April 23.
A spokesman said: "We are holding this celebration for the patron saint of England as an evening of music, fun and food.
"We will capture throughout the meal some of the traditions we recall from our childhood days.
"The songs will reflect an England that is quite different from today and the food will be as delicious but more plentiful than in the days of food rationing.
"Apart from wine, there will be jugs of ale and mead and other delicacies to tempt the palate.
"We have a number of flags but if you can bring another it will add to the pageant."
Tickets costing £8 are available from Anne Moran on 01903 690216.
