We have edged in front with a quarter of the season to go but trust me - there is still a lot of work to be done before we can celebrate finishing top of the British League.
In fact, I am telling my players to forget the title race as we go into tonight's home game with Essex Leopards. All I want us to do is concentrate on how we are playing. We have got ten games to go and there is no reason to worry about anything other than keeping healthy, resting and playing a little better.
As you know, I like to look at my own team a lot and see what is going on with them. After last weekend's efforts, when we had that thrilling win over Chester and then beat Leopards in Essex, we were tired.
That was five games, and five wins, in ten days which is a heavy schedule. I think we came through it really well but I also think a lot of our guys have a way to go.
Jason Medford can get in better shape and help us more. He was active at Brentwood and I should probably use him more while Randy Duck is still operating at 75 per cent.
Sunday's win was job done as far as I was concerned. Neither side were outstanding but you expect that the day after both teams had played emotional games the previous evening, us against Chester and Leopards against London Towers in their derby.
What about last Saturday at the Brighton Centre though? What a night that was and what a huge win for us. I might surprise you when I say I still make Chester favourites for the title, even sitting there in third place.
I still reckon they have the best talent. Our talent is close, not as good as Chester's maybe, but our talent plus our cohesion is a little better. Then you have got Sheffield with all the cohesion but not so much talent so it is very interesting and hopefully we will win out.
I expect many of you were wondering what we were planning when he called that timeout with 12 seconds to go.
We were looking to match Ralph Blalock up with John Thomas because we thought Chester would be in a zone defence. Ralph was going to go down the middle and shoot over Thomas because of his height advantage.
They went man-to-man which was okay but I thought they made a bit of a tactical error by not fouling us. They had three fouls to give and they could have fouled us all the way down the floor which would have made it more difficult for us to put an offence together. No doubt about it though, Ralph is a big time player for us.
Looking at the whole game, I know there was criticism that we were unable to get through the Chester defence and drive to the basket.
We settled for perimeter shooting but they left us so wide open we had to do that. If a team are going to let you try three-point shots like that, you have got to take those chances and make sure your shots go in.
As for the crowd, I though it was awesome. They pulled us through down the stretch. Every possession they were really into it and on their feet, which was great.
We will need more of that against Leopards. Battle of Britain? I'll see you at the Brighton Centre tonight for the Battle of the South East.
