Brighton and Hove Albion fan Cyril Wall from Worthing was surprised to see news of his own death in the match programme.
The club had confused him with another man of the same name and almost the same age from Polegate who had died.
Now Cyril can copy the words of American humorist Mark Twain, who said, on reading his obituary, news of his death had been greatly exaggerated.
