Former Labour Cabinet minister Lord Healey will tell anecdotes from behind the scenes at Westminster during an informal talk.
The former Chancellor and his wife Edna will star in an evening of conversation tomorrow at Herstmonceux Castle, near Hailsham.
The evening has been arranged by Action in Rural Sussex, a charity which has fought for rural communities for more than 70 years.
Lord and Lady Healey, who live in Alfriston, near Polegate, will sign copies of their latest books during the break.
John Miller, a former BBC producer and freelance broadcaster, will chair the evening, which starts at 6.30pm.
