A young mother accidentally locked her six-month-old baby inside her flat and had to call the fire brigade.
The distressed woman called firefighters after her front door slammed shut as she tried to get the pram into her home.
Her baby was left sitting in the pram inside while his mother was locked out on the other.
Firefighters called to Oriental Place, Brighton, climbed up a ladder and forced a first-floor window.
Mother and baby had been separated for about 15 minutes by the time firefighters reached the child.
Leading Firefighter Paul Coppard said: "Mum was extremely frantic, as were the neighbours. She was a young mum and it was her first baby. She was very tearful and very happy to be reunited with the baby."
