Unlucky-in-love rock star Bryan Ferry has divorced his wife after discovering she was cheating on him.
The Sussex-based singer was granted a decree nisi at the High Court Family Division in London yesterday.
His wife Lucy admitted adultery but it has not been revealed who she was having an affair with.
The former Roxy Music front man married society heiress Lucy Helmore at the Church of St Anthony and St George in Duncton, near Petworth, in 1982.
They managed to keep the ceremony a secret from any fans or media. Ferry did not even tell his parents until two days in advance.
Ferry, who lives on a ten-acre estate in Little Bognor at Fittleworth, near Pulborough, had been famously jilted by the model Jerry Hall in the late-Seventies.
They were engaged but she left him for Mick Jagger, after Ferry introduced the pair backstage at a Rolling Stones concert in 1977.
The model Kari-Ann Moller, another ex-girlfriend who was pictured on the cover of Roxy Music's debut album, later married Mick's brother Chris Jagger.
Ferry looked to have found happiness though when, aged 36, he married wealthy insurance broker's daughter Lucy, 22. The couple had four children together.
However, Friday's hearing before District Judge Berry heard Ferry started suspecting his wife in 2000.
The affair was continuing when she and Ferry separated.
