I am growing increasingly concerned about the mental state of the majority of readers, based on letters to The Argus.
A clear majority of correspondents seem to come from a very limited point on the political and philosophical spectrum.
Particularly vociferous correspondents include large numbers of ignorant Greens, rabid animal-rights activists, smug vegans, anti-car fanatics, deluded anarchists, Marxists whose time is long past and idiots who seem to think the proposed stadium site at Falmer is one of pristine downland beauty.
Sadly, recently, these misfits have been joined by the Saddam Hussein supporters (I find the attacks on Blatchington Mill School's headteacher both simplistic and disgusting).
I worry, based on these letters, that the majority of correspondents are mentally unbalanced, if not actively deranged.
