Motionhouse is an award-winning company of dancers who returned to The Barn with their latest work last week.
Volatile explored communication between people. The various pieces that made up an entertaining and exciting evening expressed a range of emotions and passions, from sensual love to playful competition.
The cutting edge of this production was the clever and skilful blending of aerial gymnastics with floor work set within a framework of scaffolding.
This enabled the performers to give an extra dimension to their work by hanging and swinging from the frame as well as on the swings which descended from time to time.
The five dancers displayed great athleticism in their movements, often powerful and frenzied while, at other times, graceful.
The audience was enthralled throughout the performance.
