Withdean's charge towards the league title got another boost with an impressive 4-0 win away to Godalming and Guildford.
The hosts had not lost in ten games but Withdean led 3-0 at half time thanks to Sam Francis, Damion Dobbyn and Mark Pulling.
Godalming, who had a player sent off in the first half for elbowing Pulling, conceded a fourth in the second half when Shaun Grice converted a 70th-minute penalty.
General manager Mark Stevens said: "It was a good result because that was their first defeat in ten games. We did a very professional job."
