Any lingering hopes of promotion for Lancing were finally ended with a 4-1 defeat by Wealden.
All the goals came in the first half with Jimmy Sneddon (two), Dan Merry and Lee Sale on target for the hosts while Ryan Ford replied.
Assistant-manager Allan Lofthouse said: "Consistency is what we need and if we can get that next season, with a couple of additions, we should be right up there."
Seaford returned to winning ways by fighting back from 2-0 down to win 4-2 at Mile Oak thanks to goals from Tom Callaghan (two), Ricky Plastow and substitute Simon Young, returning to the side after a four month absence.
Scott Carden and Clive Jackson were on target for Mile Oak, who had John Cater sent off.
Broadbridge Heath shared a 1-1 draw with fellow strugglers Crawley Down. Ramin Jarvand put Heath ahead but Dave Conner's header earned a point for the visitors.
Crawley Down boss Darren Barker said: "I was a bit more pleased with the attitude and the confidence seemed to be better. We are going in the right direction."
Bottom side Oving secured a second successive point as they drew 0-0 at Steyning Town.
