Since 1986, I have been a visitor to Sussex many times and one of the places I was taken to see for its beauty was Falmer.
Two of my friends spent part of their childhood there.
One has told me of the impending disaster of a new oversized stadium to be plopped down on eight acres of greensward.
There must be a more suitable location.
The crowds and inherent transportation problems make approval of this site ludicrous considering it is already an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Why spoil it when it seems the lack of financial underpinnings will doom the enterprise anyway?
