Eastbourne launch their challenge for the new British League Cup at Reading on Monday.
Eagles are in a group which also involves Oxford, the Isle of Wight and Swindon, with the top team progressing to the quarter-final knockout stages.
On the way there are four home and four away matches to negotiate and an opportunity for the Sussex squad to ring the changes.
Garry Stead from Hull, new signing Matt Read from Arena Essex and Wimbledon youngsters Daniel Giffard and Wayne Barrett all come into the side at Reading.
They line up with Mark Loram, Dean Barker and David Norris, while Joe Screen and Peter Ljung are not included.
Joonas Kylmakorpi and Adam Shields are both subject to the new doubling up rule with Premier League clubs and will be riding in the competition for Arena Essex and the Isle of Wight respectively.
Reading include former Arlington junior Shane Colvin and the experienced Paul Clews, Phil Morris and Andrew Appleton.
