Dom Cohen scored a hat-trick as Horsham continued their tremendous finish to the season with a 5-2 win at home to Gillingham Anchorians.
The victory stretched Horsham's run to four wins and a draw from their last five games in the Kent/Sussex Regional League.
They are currently third from bottom and with one game to go they could move up a further place if they beat Maidstone on Saturday.
The previous week's win over Old Williamsonians all but ensured Horsham's survival in a division where it is expected that no more than two teams will be relegated and this latest success has allowed skipper Richard Lowe to look ahead to a better campaign next year.
He said: "It has all been to do with confidence. We have now started to believe in ourselves and in the players around us.
"It has been hard this season, especially for me as I have been doing almost everything, but it has turned out well in the end.
"Hopefully we can get a coach and with a bit of belief in the side we will do well next year, or at least we will not put ourselves in the position we have been in this year.
"We have played well for the last few games. We have dug deep and there have been some good performances from everyone."
Cohen, who may leave Horsham in the summer to join a club nearer to his London home, took the plaudits against Anchorians but it was a good all round display, particularly in the second half when Lowe and Richard Blakesley also found the net.
