Bobby Zamora is on track to return to the Albion attack at Reading tomorrow night.

Captain Danny Cullip is also expected to play, but Dean Blackwell's ankle injury is taking much longer than manager Steve Coppell initially anticipated.

Zamora trained with the rest of the first team squad yesterday, although not at full pelt.

The Seagulls' 11-goal spearhead has missed the last two matches after sustaining a slight hamstring tear at Sheffield United last month.

Cullip (hamstring) and fellow centre half Blackwell were hurt in Albion's last outing against Crystal Palace nine days ago.

Coppell is mindful of the five matches still remaining after the trip to the Madejski Stadium.

"It's a difficult call to make on injuries at this stage," he said.

"You don't want to force players to play when they are uncomfortable and perhaps prolong an injury when by missing one game they can get back to 100 per cent.

"We had this with Bobby earlier on in the season with his calf and Achilles injuries.

"He was playing and playing and did not have a chance to rest. It was hanging around and I don't think he did himself justice. It was only after he rested for a week or so that he was back to his explosive best.

"I know Danny and Dean are both desperate to play, but I've got to make the cold decision of whether they are going to."

Zamora is likely to partner Gary Hart, while Robbie Pethick is on stand-by at the back.
