anti-war protesters took to the streets to highlight what they say is biased media coverage of the war in Iraq.
The demonstration, staged among hundreds of shoppers in Montague Place, Worthing, was the latest in a series of protests by activist group Worthing Against War.
Protest organiser Joy Hurcombe said the group tied cloths around their mouths to represent how they felt the media was 'gagging' the truth about the number of civilian casualties being caused by the bombing of Iraq.
She said: "Information is not coming out about people being killed, as if all the buildings being blown up are empty.
"There has been very little coverage of the catastrophe happening to the people of Iraq."
Worthing Against War members have been holding candle-lit vigils at the war memorial on Chapel Road.
