A hunt for missing teacher Jane Longhurst has been launched in woods and forests throughout Sussex.
Officers were in Ashdown Forest, near Crowborough, yesterday, more than three weeks after Miss Longhurst, 31, disappeared from her home in Shaftesbury Road, Brighton.
Chief Inspector Chris Pascoe said other popular beauty spots were being combed.
Officers involved in Operation Keen fear Miss Longhurst, a teacher at Uplands School for children with learning difficulties in Hollingdean, Brighton, has been abducted and murdered.
She disappeared on March 14 and her live-in partner Malcolm Sentance and her family insist she would not have walked away from her life voluntarily.
Miss Longhurst was last seen by a neighbour walking to her front door and carrying two bags of shopping.
Anyone with information should call the Operation Keen incident room on 0845 6070999.
