At a time when pensioners' increases are being swallowed up by council tax increases, Edward Lister, council leader for the London Borough of Wandsworth, says some of the council tax increases being imposed on residents in his area will be used to safeguard the pensions of local authority workers.
I would like to ask the question to any councillor who cares to answer - and before anyone gets off their bike, I'm only asking the question because I don't know the answer - how much of the council tax increase will be used to prop up the pensions of local authority workers in Brighton and Hove?
