A pedestrian died in hospital after being hit by a lorry as he walked along a main road in Crawley.
The man, whom police are still trying to identify, was walking along Crawley Avenue when he was struck by a large goods vehicle travelling east towards the M23 around 1pm yesterday.
He was taken to the New East Surrey Hospital, Redhill, where he died of his injuries.
The driver of the lorry, a 49-year-old man from Burgess Hill, was not injured.
