Firefighters' leaders were meeting in Brighton today to discuss the next move in their pay dispute.
The Fire Brigades Union was meeting at a recalled conference at the Hilton Brighton Metropole specifically to discuss the issue.
The 250 delegates are expected to reject the current pay offer, according to an FBU source.
The offer is worth 16 per cent over three years, tied to changes in working practices.
The source said: "What we have really is a last opportunity to negotiate an end to the dispute."
