An inquiry is to be held into proposals to change MPs' constituency boundaries in East Sussex and Brighton and Hove.
The Parliamentary Boundary Commission published its proposals on January 16 and recommended adjustments be made to all of the eight existing seats to realign ward and constituency boundaries and minimise the disparity in the electorates.
Objections made about these proposals have led to the decision to hold the inquiry, which was announced by the Commission today.
The inquiry will be held in public and any interested person may attend and be heard.
The Commission would urge all interested parties to attend and make their views known.
On many occasions, following consideration of the evidence submitted at the inquiry and the Assistant Commissioner's report, the Commission has revised its recommendations.
The inquiry will be held by the Assistant Commissioner Paul Norris and will open at Pelham House in Lewes on June 25 at 10am.
The provisional recommendations are available for inspection at council offices and town halls across East Sussex and in Brighton and Hove.
