Noisy peace protesters failed to disrupt a Royal Marines Band concert in Worthing.
A handful of demonstrators gathered outside the Assembly Hall in Stoke Abbott Road, banging drums and blowing whistles as people made their way into the venue.
Police kept a close watch on the protesters, who melted away after complaints about the noise from residents in Stoke Abbott Court.
About 600 people attended the concert, raising more than £4,000 for the King George's Fund for Sailors.
Organisers were forced to postpone a previous concert in Worthing after members of the Royal Marines were forced to man Green Goddesses during the fire strike.
Organiser Robbie Alexander said: "The police kept them (the protesters) well over the other side of the road. They weren't a bother really. The police handled it brilliantly.
"Residents in the flats called down saying people were trying to sleep and they stopped banging their drums and pushed off.
"Inside the Assembly Hall, we were very well received."
