Chichester believe they can learn the lessons of last year's near miss and complete a league and cup double.
The London Four South East champions tackle Haywards Heath in the Sussex Trophy final at Worthing tomorrow (3pm).
Heath will be big favourites to regain the silverware due to their superior league status but Chichester gave Worthing a real struggle in last year's showpiece and believe they can go one better this time.
Skipper Ben Polhill said: "When we thought about last year's final afterwards we realised we could have won it.
"We will be more confident this time."
A full strength Chichester side includes centre Tom Polhill, who was sidelined last year by a hamstring injury.
He expected a trip to Egypt to rule him out this time but was advised to fly home on security grounds.
Haywards Heath give hooker Tom Gribble and flanker James Arthur a chance to shine while Vince Rolandi is recalled in the centre.
Rolandi has been out of action since March but is given the nod for one last final before retiring.
Haywards Heath still have their promotion play-off with South West One runners-up Reading a week on Saturday to look forward to.
Tomorrow's big game will be preceded by the women's county final between Sussex Barbarians and Hove.
Haywards Heath: Cook, Charnley, G. Goodburn, Rolandi, H. Goodburn, Graham, Meredith; Shadbolt, Gribble, Edwards, Ure, Dinsdale, Arthur, Rankin, Wattam.
Chichester: Johnson, Rogers, T. Polhill, Stephen Bradford, Webster, Stanton, Simon Bradford; Clarkson, O'Hagan, Corby, Turner, Adfield, B. Polhill, Benfield, Knight-Barnard.
