A scheme has been launched to address the shortage of tutors in plumbing, electrical work and other vital trades.
City College Brighton and Hove, in collaboration with employers in the construction industry and the Sussex Learning and Skills Council (LSC), is appealing to those who have a craft qualification and practical experience.
The college will offer free training and support to achieve a nationally-recognised qualification in teaching, assessing or verifying.
At the same time as taking the training, the LSC will pay the wages that students lose.
There will be a guaranteed part-time teaching position for all those who successfully complete the course.
Anyone interested should call Abbie on 01273 667756.
