With summer just round the corner, Brighton's top clubs want to get you in the mood this weekend.
GORGEOUS, The Zap, King's Road Arches, April 26 Is there anyone out there who doesn't love Norman Jay? Nope, I didn't think so. Dusted will be returning to the seaside with a special summer introduction, courtesy of NJ himself and Rob Marmot.
Resident DJs David Godding, Mike Gorgeous and Robin Stardust will also be on hand to keep Norman's fans at bay (just kidding, guys).
Summer's coming and this is just the thing to put you in the mood. 10pm to 4am. Entry is £8 members (£10 others). Call 07801 279344 HED KANDI DISCO HEAVEN, The Honeyclub, King's Road Arches, April 25 I've got a soft spot for Hed Kandi even though Microsoft Word insists I've spelt it wrongly (mind you, it suggests "heed kanji" as an alternative). Mark Doyle and Stonebridge will be playing for the crowds in room one while Johnny Nicely will be holding his regular Back to Love meeting in room two. 10pm to 3am. £10 on the door.Call 07000 446639
Advance notice:
CLUB EVIL, Concorde 2, Madeira Drive, Saturday, May 3 Trust me, you're going to need a week to prepare. "Evil" Eddie Richards was one of the first DJs to play house music back in the mid-Eighties, years before the rest of us came on board. Lots of people know him for his sets of deep, bass-driven techno and tough tribal house but he also helped break tech-house, which should feature prominently at the Concorde.
He's on for four hours with a warm-up by Deby Carter. In the bar, Bob Dobbs and thefreeparty.org crew will be playing.
10.30pm to 3.30am. Admission £8 in advance (more on the door). Call 07931 524557
