The number of letters and parcels delivered by milkmen and women is set to increase.
Express Dairies will be able to deliver up to 46 million postal items a year for the next seven years after being given a licence by the industry's regulator Postcomm.
The company is currently delivering 20,000 books, CDs, contact lenses, magazines and other business items to households every week.
