Having just spent a day in Brighton, I would strongly refute any suggestion that it is not one of the UK's cleanest resorts.
The "litter pickers" were out in force along the seafront, the sun was shining, the Marina was a delight and we enjoyed a really good meal at a carvery there.
If I had a complaint, it was that accommodation was too expensive for my husband and I to stay one or two nights in Brighton.
