Suzy the ferret won three races on the trot during the launch of real ale at the Gribble Inn, Oving, near Chichester.

But she looked distinctly tipsy as she limped home in the final race after perhaps drinking too much of the new brew called Fursty Ferret.

The moral for any runner, human or rodent, is that too much of even a good thing can make you ale.
