If anything shows why we need a change of administration in Brighton and Hove, it is the contents of the letter from Samantha Mann (Letters, April 24).
Not only does she trot out the same, tired, misleading statement about "Tory cuts" that I am supposed to have made but she also seems to think voting for the Lib Dems or Greens will let in the Conservatives.
A Conservative council will be voted in because people want to see a Conservative council that will focus on core services rather than using the city as a laboratory for the latest whims of the Labour Government.
People are sick and tired of the games Labour has been playing with the city in recent years and rightly so.
It is time for a change.
Let's get the council doing what it is supposed to be doing for local people rather than wasting their taxes and spinning to the point where the only people who believe what the Labour administration says are its own members.
-Coun Brian Oxley, leader of the Conservative Group, Brighton and Hove City Council
