I have heard a rumour there is an election on. No, really.
Apparently, all the local councillors' seats are up for grabs.
However, I am not convinced.
If there was an election, surely all the political parties would be shoving all manner of propaganda through my letterbox?
If there was an election, surely lots of windows on my street would display little coloured posters enticing me to vote for one party or another?
If there was an election, surely eager candidates would be knocking at my door telling me whether they are pro or anti-stadium, for or against the sewage works?
Anyway, my local councillor is the leader of Brighton and Hove City Council - surely he would like to be reelected?
So, as none of the above list has happened and I consequently am none the wiser to the candidates' policies, I can only conclude that these rumours of an election are unfounded.
