Whitehawk will clinch runners-up spot in Matthew Clark County League division one if they win at Pagham on Saturday.
The Hawks beat Selsey 3-0 last night to move within two points of Horsham YMCA and Chichester, who have both completed their season.
First half goals from Simon Rowland (two) and Jamie Lambert secured a fifth successive win for the Hawks.
Player-manager Ian Chapman said: "We have had an excellent season already. To finish fourth is a feat in itself but we want to finish runners-up."
Champions Burgess Hill beat Three Bridges 3-0 last night with second half goals from Nick Sullivan, Ashley Carr and Danny White.
Ben Johnson netted a late leveller as Sidlesham drew 1-1 with Arundel.
