More than £1.5 million has been spent on major refurbishment at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead.
New developments include a £1.35 million operating suite and new community facilities centre.
The suite is named after Cecil Rowntree, a consultant surgeon who played a leading part in establishing the hospital.
The new Jubilee Centre comprises the newly refurbished facilities including two single sex wards with 30 beds, a central nursing station, day room and a visiting area.
Specialist lifting equipment has also been installed with the help of a donation from the hospital's League of Friends.
Work on the centre has cost about £250,000.
Garry Martin, chairman of Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Trust, said: "We are very proud of the new facilities which provide an ideal environment in which our staff can provide first class health care.
"The past few years has seen a continuous development and redevelopment programme and demonstrates our commitment to providing 21st century services."
Mid Sussex MP Nicholas Soames is due to officially open the new developments tomorrow.
