A turn around Brighton's streets coupled with the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice and their journey through Hades makes up the unique performance that is The Tour.
Four alternative tour guides lead bemused, surprised and delighted visitors through The Lanes, down to the beach, across main roads and down dark alleys.
While they walk, they whisper snippets of local history, such as the tale of the nun who fell in love with a wounded soldier and was bricked up in a wall as punishment for trying to run away with him. They say the Grey Lady still haunts The Lanes.
They also add strands to the Greek myth which is the thread running through the tour.
The story of Orpheus' quest to bring Eurydice back from Hades makes a haunting parallel to gossipy contemporary morsels muttered about passers-by: "She wants to go out with someone with a sports car" or "He's going to dump her tomorrow".
From cheese-and-onion sandwiches to CCTV and Brighton Beige - all kinds of relevant and sometimes less obvious points about the city are slipped into the narrative as The Tour progresses.
The twists and turns of The Tour only add to the drama and mystery of such a unique performance and it's a great way for newcomers to check out some of the town's hotspots and hidey-holes.
This is perfect for fidgets and those who like fresh air and a bit of mystery.
Be prepared to walk for 1hr 40mins as you cross the line where performance ends and the city begins.
The tour is part history, part performance, part game and part spectacle.
