Kevin Innes top scored with 68 and took 4-14 to lead Sussex 2nd XI to a resounding 121-run victory over Middlesex at Stirlands.
Innes fired five fours and three sixes at a run a ball as Sussex made 236 from their 50 overs.
The former Northamptonshire all-rounder then ripped out the visitors' top order as Middlesex were routed for 115 in 36 overs.
Innes shared a fourth-wicket stand of 109 with Carl Hopkinson, who made 67.
The pair revived the innings after Bas Zuiderent went for a duck and trialists Craig Crowe and Ashley Wright four and 34 respectively.
Zuiderent was caught at the wicket off former Sussex pace bowler Paul Havell and Wright fell to a catch in the gulley off Ben Gannon.
Innes's entertaining 75-minute stay was ended when he was bowled by left arm spinner Simon Crampton, while Hopkinson was bowled by seamer Alan Coleman after hitting three four.
Sussex lost their last six wickets for 66 with Joe Gatting, the 16-year-old son of former Albion defender Steve Gatting making 15 on his debut.
Gatting was caught at cover by Coleman off Havell and, in the chase for quick runs, Gannon had trialist Gurney Kandola caught at the wicket for 13.
Middlesex, with only two staff players in their ranks, were quickly up against it and only four batsmen managed double figures with opener Ben Duncan making most headway with 20.
Crowe had 2-19 and Hopkinson, Billy Taylor and Shaun Rashid claimed a wicket apiece.
Meanwhile Sussex skipper Chris Adams backed his side to build on their C&G Trophy win over Hampshire as they tackled Warwickshire in the Championship today.
He said: "Arguably we could have won both our four-day games so far and be top of the Championship "I thought we approached the Hampshire game with much more aggression and a positive attitude and things are good."
