A charity called FareShare has been distributing food that would otherwise be thrown away by supermarkets to people in need.
The problem has been the depot in Bolney, near Haywards Heath, is too far outside Brighton and Hove to make the service viable. It may have to pack up altogether when its lease expires unless somewhere nearer is found.
The food is delivered to 22 projects which provide food for homeless and vulnerable people every day.
It helps those most in need and means nourishing food is not thrown away.
There must be someone in Brighton and Hove who can provide storage space. If a warehouse is not available, a redundant or little-used church would do.
