A motorcyclist was seriously injured last night in the second crash in two days on the same stretch of road.

The 23-year-old man from Polegate lost control of his bike as he entered a right-hand bend on the A267 in Little London Road, Horam.

He was taken to the Eastbourne District General Hospital with serious head injuries.

On Wednesday afternoon, a man had to be cut free from his car after being involved in a five-car pile up near the May Garland pub.

Police said he was not seriously hurt.

The road was closed for more than three hours while firefighters cleared debris.
