Eastbourne has been voted the friendliest destination in the UK.
The resort has been named the UK's most group-friendly area for the second year running.
Eastbourne topped a shortlist chosen by readers of Group Travel Organiser Magazine, which included Bristol, Birmingham, York and Blackpool.
Officials at Eastbourne Borough Council welcomed the award, saying the seaside town has benefited from a £29 million investment during the past two years.
They cited the £1 million redevelopment of Treasure Island on the seafront, the revival of the pier's camera obscura and the continued development at Sovereign harbour.
They also listed the raft of tourist events such as Airbourne, Skate and the internationally-renowned Hastings Direct International women's tennis championships, which starts this weekend.
Councillor Mike Thompson, Cabinet spokesman for culture, said: "The readers confirm Eastbourne is a friendly, welcoming resort with an appeal for people of all ages."
