But his wife has other ideas and nags until his blood pressure goes sky high. Then life is turned upside down by her sudden death. THE WAY OF THE WORLD, Gardner Arts Centre, Falmer, June 18-21: Man-about-town Mirabell plots to marry heiress Millament but complications arise in the shape of ageing sex-crazed aunts, drunken country uncles and bitter ex-lovers. This production is performed by Sussex University Drama Society and was written by William Congreve in 1700, influencing the likes of Oscar Wilde, George Bernard Shaw and Joe Orton. 7pm, tickets £5/£4. 01273 685861.
