The Waterboys, OK Go, Susheela Raman and a festival of global fusion are our picks of the live music happening around Sussex.

THE WATERBOYS, Brighton Dome, June 13: From rock anthems to explorations with the Celtic fiddle, this folk-rock group have tried it all. After hitting the big time in 1985 with the single Whole Of The Moon, they confounded expectations with their next album, the Irish-influenced Fisherman's Blues. Singer Mike Scott went solo for a while but the band are back as strong as ever, touring their latest album Universal Hall. Starts 8pm, tickets £18.50. Call 01273 709709.

OK Go, Concorde 2, Brighton, June 14: This Chicago foursome recently took over the airwaves with their catchy hit Get Over It, a combination of indie and stadium rock writhing in fun-soaked energy. Lead singer Damian Kulash studied semiotics and the band has a reputation for being smart. Their rock star attitude and energetic stage presence supports their claim that rock'n'roll can be fun without being dumb. Starts 7pm, tickets £7. Call 01273 772770.
