Body Shop founder Dame Anita Roddick is to launch a range of clothes covered in radical slogans.
The environmentalist and human rights campaigner has designed garments covering issues such as human rights and child slavery.
The clothes, for men and women, would be sold through a new chain of ethical fashion shops called No Shop.
Dame Anita, who lives in Slindon, near Arundel, said she was trying to make clothes that were "cool" but also ethical.
The entrepreneur is preparing samples and is in talks with retailers.
Mrs Roddick said the clothes would not be made in sweat shops and she planned to license the designs herself so she could keep control of the manufacturing process.
Her first clothes shop could open next to her daughter Sam's sex shop in Soho, London.
The 60-year-old, who started the Body Shop in Kensington Gardens, Brighton, in 1976, was made a dame in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
She said last week she hoped her new status would empower her to fight even harder against injustices in the world.
