It's great to have a campaign to clean up broken glass on Brighton beach and encourage people not to bring glass in future but what about the disastrous effect that plastic has on the environment?
There has been no mention of encouraging people not to leave litter on the beach and, every summer, it is covered with rubbish of every kind.
Plastic in the sea is killing marine wildlife and poisoning our seas.
It's all very well protecting humans from the effects of glass on the beach but it's about time we thought of the bigger picture.
