Most office workers waste 30 minutes a day because of an energy slump, partly because they stay at their desk to eat lunch.
A poll of 1,000 office staff found three out of four suffered a "productivity slump" in the afternoon.
Recruitment firm Office Angels found four out of five workers took less than an hour for lunch.
Managing director Paul Jacobs urged workers to get some air at lunchtime.
