Reading The Argus, I note that both Asda at Hollingbury and City Books in Hove are working hard to promote the latest Harry Potter book.

It is interesting to note the publishers have given generous discounts to the supermarket chains, enabling them to sell at hugely reduced prices.

But if you believe in books for our children and wish to support independent traders, then you should shun buying this book at the supermarket or large book chains and visit your nearest independent book retailer.

The supermarkets only exist to enhance their profits - it wasn't too long ago they were the champions of the Teletubbies.
