A nine-year-old boy suffered a fractured skull in an accident with a car.

The boy was walking down Millthorpe Road in Horsham when the accident happened at 5pm yesterday.

He was taken to the New East Surrey Hospital, Redhill. His injuries are believed to be serious but not life-threatening.

His Suzuki Bandit machine struck a kerb in North Heath Lane at about 4.50pm yesterday and was then involved in a collision with a Ford Fiesta.

The 30-year-old motorcyclist was taken to the New East Surrey Hospital, Redhill.

The 19-year-old Horsham man driving the Fiesta was not hurt in the crash.
