Well done on winning two awards at the UK Press Gazette Regional Press Awards 2003 (The Argus, July 5).
The first award was for best evening paper in the UK and the second was for Team of the Year.
The awards are very well-deserved as there is first-class reporting of major news events, especially in the home city of Brighton and Hove.
There have been major stories throughout the past year that you have been the first newspaper to report on.
The judges rightly praised The Argus for its team effort on covering stories and its campaigning work on major issues for the community.
Support of the local newspaper is always very welcome on campaigns for important issues.
Thanks to The Argus, local issues are covered fairly, giving the reader well-balanced opinions of all points of view.
