A teenage boy and his dog were bitten by an Alsatian while out for a walk in Crawley.
Police say the 14-year-old was walking his family's bull mastiff in Bewbush Drive and Ellman Road at about 4.45pm on Thursday July 3 when he saw two girls with an Alsatian.
The black and white dog bit the boy on his right leg, causing deep wounds. It also bit the bull mastiff.
The girls ran off. The boy was treated in hospital.
Both girls were aged 15 to 16. One was tall and thin with light brown shoulder-length hair. She wore a white hooded jumper and white tracksuit bottoms.
The other had long brown hair and wore a blue hooded top.
