A charity is urgently appealing for dog lovers to help find a new home for a young airedale-cross who has become depressed after staying at kennels.
18-month-old Oscar has been staying at Allsorts Dog Rescue in Henfield which is now desperate to get him into a home environment.
Spokeswoman Gail Burgess said: "He is a lovely dog who was brought in as a stray by a dog warden in February.
"We found him a new home but unfortunately the owner had a cat which we did not know about.
"Oscar is very friendly but his one weak spot is that he does not like cats.
"He is young and boisterous and needs experienced dog owners who can manage him.
"He would be fine with teenagers but might be a bit too much for young children to cope with.
"He needs a large garden to work off his energy and owners who are able to devote time to him.
"He is a good natured dog but he is becoming very depressed and stressed in the kennels and should leave as soon as possible."
Anyone interested in learning more about him should call 0789 9811248 or 01273 846969.
