Worthing are poised to sign former Albion duo Darren Freeman and Ross Johnson as they plan their title assault.
New Rebels boss Alan Pook has lined up for the former Seagulls to spearhead a bid for the Ryman division one south crown.
Pook has issued no official statement regarding the signings but has called a press conference for next week.
Freeman had a spell at Woodside Road in his non-League days before turning professional with Gillingham.
He was top scorer for Albion in their first season at Withdean.
Johnson, a dependable defender and long throw specialist, is currently with Canvey.
Chris Hibberd, Mark Knee and Andy Beech are expected to sign new two-year deals at Woodside.
Littlehampton boss Carl Stabler has agreed to re-instate a friendly with Worthing at the Sportsfield on July 24.
Stabler pulled out of the game after Barry Lloyd was dismissed by Worthing but revealed: "I have had a two-hour meeting with Alan and told him the things I was unhappy about."
