Sussex are keeping their options open as they bid to continue their one-day revival at Arundel tomorrow.

The Sharks have added Paul Hutchison and fit-again Billy Taylor to the squad as they chase a third win in the National League against Derbyshire Scorpions (1pm).

With another crucial Championship match starting at Leicester on Tuesday, the county are anxious to keep their players fresh which means there could be changes to the side which defeated Somerset by 90 runs last weekend.

With games in hand, Sussex are still capable of mounting a promotion challenge and will fancy their chances against Derbyshire in skipper Chris Adams' benefit game.

Director of cricket Peter Moores said: "Hutch and Billy are both bowling well at the moment so it seems sensible to include them.

"It gives us another option or two if one or two of the guys have little niggles or are not feeling that fresh.

"There's a nice feeling about the side in one-day cricket at the moment. Players know there are guys ready to come in if they don't perform and we saw against Somerset last weekend, especially among the batsman, that they realise that and responded accordingly."

The Championship game against Essex is heading for an exciting conclusion today. Under-16s will be admitted free.
