A driver fled after crashing a car through two garden walls and stopping just feet from a house.
Residents in Alinora Avenue, Goring, Worthing, were woken at 1.30am yesterday after a hatchback car careered off the road and ploughed through two brick walls.
Police were on the scene within minutes but the driver had fled.
Sharon Leppard, of Alinora Crescent, said: "I was woken up by two bangs, presumably as the car went through the walls.
"Boy racers quite often use the road as a racetrack, screeching around the roundabout on two wheels, and this guy obviously lost control.
"Fortunately, the walls stopped the car. It could have been so much worse."
