Invitation League: Arundel got their division one title bid back on track with a six-wicket win at Lindfield.
After dropping to third after two draws, Arundel returned to the top of the table after superb batting displays by captain Steve Mullen (66 not out) and Joel Wiles (64). They added 127 for the fourth wicket in a 168-4 reply.
Earlier, Keith Chamberlain made 57 in Lindfield's 166-7 score.
Second-placed Findon are just six points off the top following a convincing five-wicket home win against Pagham.
Findon skipper Nigel Waller took 4-36 after Pagham won the toss and slumped to 126 all out. Only captain Craig Primmer (42 not out) offered any resistance before Graham Waller (48 not out) guided home the reigning champions on 128-5 to claim the maximum 30 points.
Former leaders Ifield are down to third after a poor bowling display left them hanging on for a draw at home to Broadwater.
After winning the toss, two big partnerships helped Broadwater post 226-5. Richard Iago (74) and Mark Sinsbury (43) added 107 for the third wicket, then Joe Owen (65 not out) joined Iago in a 111 stand for the fifth wicket. The total was swelled by 43 extras which included five penalty runs after the ball hit a helmet behind the wicket.
Ifield struggled to 177-9, despite the efforts of Simon Hickey (85).
Bottom side Clymping had to settle for a draw at Burgess Hill, despite making their highest total of the season. Clymping finished on 210-7 from 49 overs after good knocks by Ben Challen (59) and Roger Green (53) against the bowling of Roger Marshall (5-44).
Burgess Hill replied on 179-7 with Ben Firmin (53) and Paul Edwards (47) their best batsmen.
Division two leaders Pulborough continued their impressive form with a five-wicket win at Keymer and Hassocks.
John Cornthwaite made 44 in a Keymer score of 164, as Kelly Russell (4-14) had most success with the ball.
Gavin Clark (65) and Jody Healy (36) built the foundations for victory with a first wicket partnership of 101 and Pulborough finished on 165-5.
Second-placed Ansty lost ground after drawing at home to Crawley. Ansty declared on 201-9 after useful contributions by Richard Nichols (66), Paul Osborn (44) and Simon Parsons (25), despite the best efforts of Crawley bowlers Paul Clifford (4-55) and 15-year-old Abdul Khan (2-21). Barry Crouch then took 4-25, but an unbeaten 39 by Khan helped Crawley finish on 161-7.
A superb batting display by Hayden James helped Billingshurst to a shock home win over third-placed Southwick.
Mike Burroughs (54) and Will Gooda (41) gave Billingshurst the perfect start by putting on 109 for the first wicket, before James came in to hit 72 off just 35 balls to leave the home side on 264-4. Southwick were restricted to 161 all out in reply thanks to the bowling of Peter Burroughs (5-52). Only Martin Rea (54) and Dan Feniuk (48) caused any problems.
Steve Hoadley hit 48 to help second-bottom Scaynes Hill to a draw at Barns Green.
Scaynes Hill posted 225-9 from 47 overs after being inserted, which Green never looked like reaching and they were 116-6 at the close.
